Another help of Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Foundation has arranged 875 beds, will be free for treatment of corona

Reliance Foundation: Around 875 beds have been arranged in Reliance Foundation’s hospitals – National Sports Club of India (NSCI), Seven Hills Hospital and Trident, BKC.




Reliance Foundation, the philanthropy arm of Reliance Industries Limited, said in a statement that it has stepped up its operations in Mumbai in view of the growing medical needs in the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic. Around 875 beds have been arranged in Reliance Foundation’s hospitals – National Sports Club of India (NSCI), Seven Hills Hospital and Trident, BKC, with 145 equipped with ICU facilities.

According to a statement, 650 medical beds will be arranged in Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in NSCI. The statement further said that Reliance Foundation will set up and manage 100 new intensive medical unit (ICU) beds, which will be operationalized in a phased manner from 15 May 2021. In addition, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital will operate and manage around 650 beds for Kovid patients.

More than 500 medical staff will be in service for 24 hours

The statement said that more than 500 workers are engaged in day-to-day service as physicians, nurses and non-medical professionals to treat patients. The entire cost of treatment, including ICU beds and monitors, ventilators and medical equipment, will be borne by the Reliance Foundation. It further said that all Kovid patients will be treated absolutely free at NSCI and Seven Hills Hospital.

700 tons of oxygen is also supplied daily

Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani said that overall the foundation will manage around 875 beds, including 145 ICU beds. He said, “Reliance Foundation has always been at the forefront of service to the country and it is our duty to contribute to India’s tireless fight against the epidemic.” He said that Reliance Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan , Uttar Pradesh and Daman, giving 700 tonnes of oxygen daily to Diu and Nagar Haveli.
