Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has finally taken into custody the ‘mystery woman’ who was seen walking behind Sachin Vaze outside a five-star hotel in Mumbai. The NIA has already detained Mumbai Police’s suspended Assistant Inspector of Police, Vizh, for his involvement in the case. The NIA is investigating an SUV loaded with explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence ‘Antilia’.
On February 25, a Scorpio was found near the residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, in which 20 sticks of gelatin and a threatening note were recovered. The Mumbai police had named the vehicle owner as Mansukh Hiren, who was an auto parts dealer in Thane. But on March 5, he was found dead in a drain in Mumbra town in Thane district, after which the mystery about the matter deepened.
‘Mystery Woman’ in NIA custody
The NIA, during its investigation into the case, found that Waze had entered a five-star hotel in South Mumbai on February 16 with some fake identity cards, hours before Hiren filed a complaint about his SUV Scorpio. . He also had five black bags in his hands. Vazhe spent at least five days in the hotel.
The mystery in the case deepened when investigators saw a woman behind the outside of the hotel. The NIA finally apprehended and detained the ‘mystery woman’ from the Mumbai airport late on Thursday night. Later, a team also searched his flat in Mira Road area of Thane district.
7 vehicles recovered so far in the case
Based on the initial investigation in the reports, it is said that the woman allegedly works to turn black money white. A note counting machine has also been recovered from him. NI has also recovered a similar machine from a Mercedes bench car, which is said to have been used by Sachin. The NIA has seized two Mercedes Benz cars used by Vaze in March.
The NIA has been continuously raiding the recovery of an explosive-laden SUV near Antilia and the Hiren massacre. During the investigation, the NIA has seized seven cars so far, including a Scorpio, two Mercedes Benz, a Landcruiser Prado, an Innova, a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Volvo.
