Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have tried to keep their daughter ‘Vamika’ away from the spotlight and social media since the beginning. Some time ago when the Indian team left for South Africa, Virat Kohli appealed to the media not to click the picture of her daughter. Recently both have thanked all the journalists, fans and media for not using the picture of their daughter Vamika.
On Sunday evening, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli (VIRAT KOHLI) wrote from their official Instagram account that,
“We are thankful to Indian journalists and most of the media that they did not publish Vamika’s pictures/videos. We want our child’s independence and want to do our best to give her a chance to live her life independently from the media and social media.”
Virat (VIRAT KOHLI) and Anushka became parents in January this year. The two made the announcement in a statement after the birth of their daughter and appealed to all journalists to respect their privacy. Since then, no picture of Vamika was ever seen on social media.
Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian Test team was very happy at the time of Vamika’s birth and expressed her happiness on social media saying,
“It has been life changing. It has been a bond that is unlike anything we both have experienced before. Just to see your baby smiling, it can’t be expressed in words. I can’t express how it feels from within.”
