Apaar id Card Process: State governments have started issuing APAAR ID cards for students. Following the instructions of the central government, schools have been instructed to register APAAR ID for students and link it to Aadhaar number and other government identity cards after parental consent. Actually, APAAR card simplifies school and college transfer for students and keeps their entire academic record safe in one place.
This initiative has been launched by the Government of India and the Ministry of Education under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. APAAR ID, also known as “One Nation, One Student ID Card”. It will help students to organize and digitize their entire academic journey.
What is APAAR ID card?
APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is a unique and digital ID card that stores and makes every information related to the education of students easy. This ID is for students from pre-primary to higher education.
This card will contain the following information

- Personal details like name, address, blood group
- Co-curricular and sports achievements

Parental consent is required for APAAR card. Schools provide this form, which parents can fill and submit. This form acts as permission to link the Aadhaar and personal details of children.
How to download the consent form
- Click on “Parental Consent Form” in the “Resources” section.
- Download the form and fill in the required details.
- Submit the form to the school.
How to register for APAAR card
- Create Aadhaar and DigiLocker Account:
- It is mandatory to have a valid Aadhaar card.
- Create a DigiLocker account.
- Register online:
- Visit the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank) website.
- Select the “Student” option in the “My Account” section.
- Submit the form by entering your Aadhaar and academic details.
- After submitting the form, APAAR ID card will be generated.
How to download APAAR card
- Login to the ABC Bank website.
- Click on the “APAAR Card Download” option in the dashboard.
- The card will appear on the screen.
- Click on the download or print option.
