Hospital officials did not help the woman
Due to curfew issued in Assam, mother and daughter could not find any vehicle to go home. The woman also appealed to the hospital authorities to arrange a vehicle for them. Campaign started for arrest of criminals
Local villagers and police found the victim in critical condition, after which she was admitted to a nearby hospital. The Charaidev district police has started a campaign to arrest the culprits. Local MLA Dharmeshwar Konwar, who visited the victim’s house on Sunday, blamed the Saphekati Model Hospital for the incident. He has also appealed to the police to inquire into the circumstances under which the hospital authorities refused to help the victim.
