Three major changes have been made in ESIC’s Atal Insured Persons Welfare Scheme (Atal Beemit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana). A major change in this has been that the benefit of this scheme can now be availed in installments.

new Delhi. Changes are constantly being made in the Labor Ministry’s plan for people who lost jobs during the Corona epidemic. In view of the difficulties in getting full benefits after application in the scheme, now three major changes have been made in the Atal Insured Person Welfare Scheme on behalf of the State Employees Insurance Corporation. After these changes, now unemployed people will get more ease in getting unemployment allowance. Along with this, people who have not been able to take full unemployment allowance after getting jobs in the middle will also be able to take advantage of this.

The first change in the ABVKY scheme from ESIC has been done in the last date of application. The last date of application in this scheme has been made 30 June 2021. Now, after six months, the unemployed people will be able to apply for it and will take 50% of the current salary as allowance for three months.

At the same time, the second change has been to get medical facility till six months after leaving the job. If a person misses his job, he can treat his dependents with ESIC for the next six months as well. He and his dependents will be treated by ESIC.

The third most important change is to take advantage of this scheme in installments. Commissioner of ESIC, Revenue and Benefit MK Sharma says that this benefit is very important. After the launch of the scheme, it was seen that people were not able to take full advantage of it. Many times it happened that a person applied for benefits in this scheme and after taking a month or two allowance, he got a job and his allowance was discontinued. But the next month, he missed his job again. In such a situation, this scheme, which provides unemployment benefits for three consecutive months, has been changed.

MK Sharma says that it has been done in installments now. For example, if a person taking benefit of this scheme has missed the job, then he can take the benefit of his remaining months again. However, during this time an unemployed person will get an allowance of only three months. Then whether it is taken in pieces or taken together for three consecutive months. However, this is going to be of great benefit and hundreds of such applications have also come to ESIC.
