ATM Withdrawal Charge: If you do not have money in your account and use ATM frequently. Till now you do not have to pay any charge on this, so be careful. If you do not have money in your account, it may prove costly for you to use the ATM again and again. This can cause you a lot of loss. Because PNB, the second largest government bank of the country, is going to make new rules for the customers. The burden of which will fall directly on the pockets of common people. If the ATM transaction is not completed due to insufficient funds in your account, you will be charged Rs 10 + GST on the cash withdrawal transaction.
If your transaction fails while withdrawing money from the ATM or the ATM transaction is not completed due to lack of sufficient funds then you are prepared to be charged 10+ GST on the cash withdrawal transaction. This means you will have to pay Rs 10+GST on domestic ATM cash withdrawal transactions that fail due to insufficient funds in the account.
PNB also informed the customers through message that from May 1, a charge of Rs 10 + GST will be charged for using ATM if there is not sufficient funds in the account.
PNB is making these preparations
Let us tell you that the bank is in the process of changing the fees for issuing debit cards and prepaid cards and the annual maintenance fees. If you make payment through POS and debit card while purchasing any item. And there is no balance in the account and the transaction fails. In this situation also the bank is planning to impose penalty on e-com transactions.
- PNB can make changes in debit card and prepaid card issuance and annual maintenance charges.
- The Bank will start charging charges on PoS and e-Comm transactions (Domestic/International) done through Debit Card if there is not sufficient funds in the account.
- If your card is stolen, you should immediately block or hotlist the card in case it is lost or stolen.
- In case of card loss you can send SMS to (hotcard number) e.g. Message 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number. With this your card will be blocked.
- Customers can get account related information by calling the helpline call center 24 hours toll free helpline number 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222 or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000.
- Emergency services, debit card hotlisting, options can be accessed through PNB Internet Banking.
- You can log in to PNB One and go to Debit Card, Hotlist Debit Card option.
- Once hotlisted the debit card cannot be de-hotlisted. After this you will have to get a new debit card made.
Pay special attention to this
According to the PNB website, do not disclose customer account/debit card/internet banking/mobile banking/password/PIN number/OTP/email-ID details to anyone. Be cautious of e-mails/calls/SMS asking for such information. In any of these situations, change your password/PIN. With this no one will be able to fraud you.
