Under the Smart City Mission, the traffic control system of Ayodhya is being upgraded. For this, more than a thousand CCTV cameras have been installed at different intersections of Ayodhya, which can clearly see the number plate on the vehicle.

Before and after the Lok Sabha elections, Ayodhya, the Ramnagari of Uttar Pradesh, remained in constant discussion, but this city has once again come into the news because the traffic police here have issued electric challans to 200 people so far. Now work on smart traffic management has started in Ayodhya. The intersections of the city are not only being connected to high-tech CCTV cameras, but by monitoring these cameras from the control room, online challans are also being issued to those violating traffic rules.

Traffic control system upgraded

According to the report, under the Smart City Mission, the traffic control system of Ayodhya is being upgraded. For this, more than a thousand CCTV cameras have been installed at different intersections of Ayodhya, which can clearly see the number plate on the vehicle. 1324 CCTV cameras have been installed in Ayodhya, which work smartly.

Online challan is being issued

These cameras have been connected to a control room, where continuous monitoring is being done. From there, instructions are given to the people through the allotment system installed at the intersections and online challan (e-challan) is issued from here for those violating traffic rules. The traffic department is preparing to start such a system at 22 intersections, out of which implementation has started at Pushpraj Chauraha, Rikabganj Chauraha, Guddi Bazaar Chauraha and some other places. More than 200 e-challans have been issued so far.

Traffic increased after Ram Mandir

Traffic SP AP Singh said that after the Shri Ram Mandir Prana Pratishtha program, the number of devotees coming to Ayodhya and the number of vehicles has increased rapidly. In view of this, traffic policemen are deployed at important intersections and other places to manage the traffic properly. Continuous action is being taken against those who do not follow traffic rules. E-challan action has been started against those who do not follow traffic rules through Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS). 12 intersections have been connected through ITMS.
