From today, Axis Bank account holders will have to pay double charges to take advantage of all the services of the bank. This can increase the burden on your pocket.
Many things are going to change from May 1. There is also a fee charged on Axis Bank services. If you are a customer of this bank then you may get a shock. Actually from today, after withdrawing 1000 rupees from Axis Bank, now you have to charge 10 rupees in place of 5. Not only this, now you will have to loose your pocket to continue other features including SMS.
This private sector bank has increased many types of charges on savings account. Now Axis Bank has increased the charge on cash withdrawal from ATM after free limit every month. In this case, you can do 4 ATM transactions every month or up to 2 lakh rupees for free, but after that, additional transactions will have to be charged. For every 1000 rupees, now 10 rupees will be deducted instead of 5.
Minimum balance limit also increased
Axis Bank has also increased the minimum balance limit from today. The minimum balance in metro cities has been increased to Rs 15,000. Earlier this limit was 10,000 rupees. However, the categories of the balance will be based on the metro city and other areas. In the metro city, Axis Bank has revised the minimum balance limit for the prime variant account to a term deposit of Rs 25,000 or at least Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, in semi-urban areas, customers with a prime account will have to keep a term deposit of Rs 25,000 or Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, the prime account holders in rural areas will have to keep Rs 25,000. Earlier this limit was 15 thousand.
SMS charge will also increase
Axis Bank currently charges 5 rupees per month for SMS charge. Till June 30, they will have to pay only 15 rupees for every three months, but from July 01, it will cost 25 paise per SMS, but no more than 25 rupees will be charged in a month. It will not include promotional text messages or messages sent to customers for OTP. These charges will be different for premium accounts, salary accounts and basic accounts.
