Axis Bank has increased the SMS charges after changes in telecom regulatory rules. The increased gambling charges will be applicable from July 1. Apart from this, cash withdrawal charges have also increased.
The private sector Axis Bank has revised the SMS charges. Axis Bank has revised this charge after the new system was implemented by the Telecom Regulatory Authority. Talking about other types of charges, this bank has increased the cash withdrawal fee. The requirement of minimum average balance has also increased. However, Axis Bank has reduced the attestation fees.
Axis Bank has said that from July 2021, they will charge 25 paise for every message from those customers. However, it will not exceed a maximum of 25 rupees in any month. Let us know that most of the mobile banking transactions in private sector are from Axis Bank.
These messages will not be included
This will not include promotional text messages or messages sent to customers for OTP. These charges are different for premium accounts, salary accounts and basic accounts.
What changes did the rule of telecom regulate
According to the telecom authority’s new rule, those who send messages to the group must first submit a pre-registered template. After this, this template has to be followed for all messages. If not, the message will be blocked from the telecom operator. Such a message is called the scrubbing of the authentication process. In a media report quoting Telecom sources, it has been said that this charge is being recovered by the bank due to scrubbing.
SMS Charges: Currently, Axis Bank has an SMS charge of Rs 5 per month. 15 rupees are deducted from the bank account of the customers every three months. By June 30, they will have to pay 15 rupees only. But from July 01 it costs 25 paise per SMS. But no more than 25 rupees will be charged in any one month.
Cash withdrawal charges: Rs 5 per 100 rupees. But from May 1, now customers will have to pay 10 rupees per cash withdrawal of 1000 rupees.
