Another dispute has come to the fore regarding the purchase of land of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust. The temple adjacent to Ram Janmbhumi in Ayodhya is the Fakire Ram temple. Ram Mandir Trust bought the land of this temple on 27 March 2021. The dispute over the ownership of the land which was sold has reached the court. The court of Civil Judge Senior Division of Faizabad has now sought answers from Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust and others associated with this property.
Fakire Ram temple controversy
This case has been filed by a person named Santosh Dubey. Santosh Dubey himself has been an accused in the Babri structure demolition case. He has challenged the ownership rights of Raghuvar Sharan, who sold the properties of Fakire Ram temple. Along with this, many other demands have also been placed before the court. These include- canceling the land registry, appointing receivers on temple land across the country, not harming the temple and continuing the regular bhog raga to the deity in the temple.
Santosh Dubey told Aaj Tak about this that
“I want Ram temple to be constructed and done very well. I devoted myself from my childhood till my youth for this. Took four bullets. I broke 17 bones. Been to jail hundreds of times. Our aim is only that the land we have got for the Ram temple is enough. In this temple should be built. Other places of mythological importance like Fakire Ram temple should not be demolished around it. At the same time, the bhog raga of Lord Rama continued in it.
He claimed from Aaj Tak that,
“Before exile, Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman ji had changed their clothes in the Fakire Ram temple, from here they came in the guise of Valkal i.e. ascetic. In such a situation, the court is the only way to save this temple from being demolished.
Santosh Dubey also made serious allegations against the people sitting in the trust. They said that
“These people can go to any extent for money. There is loot in the name of Lord Ram. In this case, only the court can be heard, because the people sitting in the government are the trust, and the people sitting in the trust are the government. Not ready to listen to anyone. Threatening to destroy the entire Ayodhya.
Tarunjit Verma, the lawyer for the party who filed the case, told that this case has been filed in the Civil Judge Senior Division Faizabad. In this, a demand has been made to cancel the benama done to Champat Rai. Along with this, a request has been made to instruct the temple not to be demolished. Many properties related to this temple are in Jalaun, Orai, Koch, there has also been a demand from the court to appoint a receiver.
Registry cancellation request
In the case filed against the Ram Mandir Trust, it has been argued on behalf of the petitioner that there is no right to sell the temple. The right of the temple and its properties rests with the Lord. In such a situation, the temple can be maintained by the Mahant, Trust or Manager, but the property cannot be sold. This is clearly written in the document of the temple trust. They claim that when there was no right to sell, then how did the Ram Mandir Trust buy it in such a situation. This registry is invalid. It should be ended.
Champat Rai said – enjoy
When journalists questioned Champat Rai, general secretary of Shri Ram Mandir Janmabhoomi Kshetra Trust in this matter, he avoided taking it lightly. He was asked that a case has been filed against him for buying a temple, what does he have to say on this? Listen to that too. he said-
