What is the limit for which savings account

There is no need to maintain minimum balance for PNB’s basic savings accounts. However, it is mandatory for you to keep a minimum balance of Rs 25,000 in PNB Prudent Sweep Account, otherwise you will be charged a penalty. Apart from this, there is different limit for PNB Unnati Saving Fund Account according to different areas. If your account is in a rural area branch, then you have to keep at least Rs 500. This limit is Rs 1000 for an account in a semi-urban area and Rs 2000 for an account in urban and metro areas. If you do not maintain this minimum balance limit for your PNB account, then the bank will directly deduct the penalty amount from your account.
