Zero balance facility is available in this account of SBI. This account of SBI is also called Basic Savings Bank Deposit Account (BSBDA).
Any person can easily get this account. To open the account, the customer has to fulfill the conditions of KYC. To fulfill the KYC conditions, you must have a PAN Card and Aadhaar Card.
Joint Saving Account facility is also available in this account. For example, both husband and wife can open this joint account. You must have all the necessary documents to open an account.
Benefits of SBI Zero Balance Account
In this, you do not need to maintain minimum balance in the account. Even if there is less balance, there is no penalty.
You can keep maximum amount in the account. The bank has not set any limit on maximum balance.
In this account, the account holder gets the facility of passbook, basic Rupee ATM-cum-debit card, mobile and internet banking. Please note that free checkbook is not available in this.
Like a normal bank account, you can withdraw money in this with the help of Aadhar card. Apart from this, there is also a facility to make payment through UPI.
If the account holder closes the account, then he will not have to pay any charge. This means that account closing fees are not to be paid.

You can open a zero balance account only if you do not have another savings account. If you already have a savings account, but you want to open a zero balance account, then you will have to close the savings account within 30 days.
