Bank Cheque Book Alert! These Bank’s cheque book will be rejected from 1st October, see the list here

Bank Cheque Book: From next month the Cheque book of these banks will become invalid. This includes Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank.


Bank Cheque Book: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has warned the account holders that the existing Cheque books of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India will be closed from next month.

“Old Cheque book of EOBC and EUNI is going to be closed from 1-10-2021. Please replace your old Cheque book of e-OBC and e-UNI with PNB Cheque book with updated PNB IFSC & MICR,” PNB posted on Twitter.

Only PNB Cheque Book with updated PNB IFSC and MICR from 1st October 2021

Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India were merged with Punjab National Bank on 1 April 2020.

PNB Festival Bonanza

In other news, PNB has waived off all service charges and processing charges on retail products as part of its festive season offer. PNB is now offering an attractive interest rate of 6.80 per cent on home loan and 7.15 per cent on car loan.

In the festive offer, the bank will waive all service charges/processing fees and documentation charges on its retail products such as Home Loan, Vehicle Loan, Property Loan, Personal Loan, Pension Loan and Gold Loan.

It also announced the offer of home loan top-up at an attractive rate of interest. PNB said that customers can avail these offers till December 31, 2021.
