After the merger of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank, the IFSC code of Allahabad Bank branches has changed from 15 February.
If your bank account is in the erstwhile Allahabad Bank, then this news is of your use. In fact, after the merger of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank (Indian Bank), the IFSC code of Allahabad Bank branches has changed from 15 February. Now the old IFSC codes of your branch will not work. If someone uses the old code then money will not be transferred. Indian Bank has given this information by tweeting.
Please tell that since 1 April 2020, Allahabad Bank has merged with Indian Bank. For RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, contact your home branch to know your new IFS code starting with ‘IDIB’.
This is how a new IFSC code will be found
In its tweet, Indian Bank has told the account holders the process to get the new IFSC code. According to the bank, to get the new IFSC code, login to www.indianbank.in/amalgamation tab and enter the old IFSC code.
SMS your mobile number to 9266801962 in the IFSC formant. Customers are suggested to use only IFSC code of Indian Bank for payment (RTGS, NEFT and IMPS) starting from 15 February 2021 and beyond ‘IDIB’….
These rules changed from today
Indian Bank said in the tweet, Dear Customer, Thank you for your support during the merger. Note the major changes for the customers of the erstwhile Allahabad Bank from 15 February 2021.

Check book will remain valid for 6 months
Indian Bank has said that the check book of Allahabad Bank will remain valid for six months. The bank said, the check book can be used till its page is over or for the next 6 months, whichever is earlier. The new passbook in Indian Bank forms will be issued after 15.02.2021. It is suggested that you get a new IB passbook from your home branch. (If not yet received.)
