Till now many banks provide the facility of cardless deposit, but RBI has taken it a step further and added the facility of depositing money through UPI. How will the money be deposited?
An announcement regarding this has been made by RBI. But it has not yet been clarified by the banks as to how this will work. But according to the information revealed so far, you will be given the option of UPI/QR Code on the ATM screen. Once you scan it, you will have to enter your bank details.
That is, after scanning the QR Code, when you enter the UPI PIN, your banking details will appear on the screen. Here you will be asked to confirm the details. Once you confirm this, you will have to deposit cash in the ATM machine. After this the entire process will be the same as is done during cardless deposit.
What will be the benefits? Before discussing the benefits, let us tell you that the date has not yet been given as to when this facility will be available. But its benefits are immense because if you use this facility then you will not have to wait for the bank’s time. You can go and deposit the money anytime. Recently, the facility to withdraw money with the help of UPI was given by RBI. You do not need to do anything special to withdraw money with the help of UPI, you can get cash after doing simple UPI.
