What is said in the viral message?

Recently, the message that went viral on social media says that Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das said that if the account of a customer exceeds Rs 30,000, the respective bank account will be closed. So this money should be withdrawn immediately. Or so much money can no longer be deposited.

Do not share fraudulent messages

  • The central government’s official fact check PIB Fact Check has banned people from sharing such misleading messages.
  • Because, after verifying the viral message, The Press Information Bureau (PIB) said that the bank is not enforcing any such rules. No plan has been taken in this regard.

Know the exact Bank Deposit Rule

As per Reserve Bank of India rules,

  • There are some general rules for daily withdrawals.
  • There are also some special rules for depositing cash. Only 10 lakh can be deposited in a year. If it is more than this, you have to transfer online. However, in case of single transaction above 10 lakhs, the bank has to submit the required documents.
