Bandhan Bank has changed the interest rates of FD. It has announced to give 8.55% interest on FDs with one year maturity.

The bank is offering more interest to senior citizens than to general citizens. The new rates have become effective. Let us tell you that banks change the interest rates of FD from time to time.

Bandhan Bank has announced 8.05 percent interest to general citizens and 8.55% interest to senior citizens on 1 year tenure. Now customers are getting 8% interest to general citizens and 8.50% interest to senior citizens on FDs from one year 1 day to 1 year 9 months.

With this, now the bank is giving interest ranging from 3% to 8.05% to general citizens on FDs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. At the same time, the minimum interest rate for senior citizens is 3.75% and the maximum is 8.55%. For information, let us tell you that the bank is offering 0.75% extra interest to senior citizens as compared to general citizens on all tenures less than 1 year. At the same time, senior citizens are getting 0.50% extra interest as compared to general citizens on all tenures of more than 1 year.

The new interest rates have been implemented for Indians, Hindu Undivided Families and NROs. In which customers can invest a minimum of Rs 1000 and a maximum of less than Rs 3 crore. To open an FD, customers will have to submit income tax PAN number. Senior citizens will need to submit age certificate. Under Indian Income Tax law, a penalty rate of one percent above the card rate is applicable for premature withdrawal. If the FD is withdrawn within seven days after investment, no interest is paid on it.

  • 1 year 1 day to 1 year 9 months – 8%
  • 1 year 9 months 1 day to less than 2 years – 7.25%
  • 2 years to less than 3 years – 7.25%
  • 3 years to less than 5 years – 7.25%
  • 5 years to 10 years – 5.85%
