The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) categorizes bank holidays into three categories: the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts. On certain recognized holidays, every bank in the nation, such as the public and private sectors, foreign banks, cooperative banks, and regional banks, remains closed. As a result of the Negotiable Instruments Act, banks in various cities will be closed for the next six days commencing from today, July 16th. Following that, banks in Agartala and Shillong will be closed for U Tirot Sing Day and Kharchi Puja on July 17, 2021. In addition, on July 18, 2021, the Indian banks will be closed due to the fact that it is Sunday.
