On this day customers can neither withdraw nor deposit money from the bank. However, money transactions can be done through online banking.

Banks will be closed for 4 days this week

If we talk about this week, first of all, banks will be closed on January 10 on the occasion of Missionary Day in Aizawl. On the other hand, banks will remain closed on January 12 in Kolkata on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birthday. While banks will remain closed on January 14 on Makar Sankranti/Pongal in Ahmedabad and Chennai and on January 15 on Uttarayan Punyakal Makar Sankranti Festival/Maghe Sankranti/Sankranti/Pongal/Thiruvalluvar Divas in Bengaluru, Chennai, Gangtok and Hyderabad. This list has been issued by RBI.

Similarly, banks will remain closed on January 16 as a weekly holiday. At the same time, on January 18, there will be a holiday of bank workers in Chennai due to Thai Posam. January 22 will be a holiday because of the fourth Saturday. Along with this, on January 23, there will be a weekly holiday on Sunday everywhere.

At the same time, there will be no work in the bank on the occasion of Republic Day on 26 January. Apart from this, January 30 will be a holiday because of Sunday.
