Bank Holiday: Banks will remain closed for 18 days next month… there will be no work due to strikes and holidays ​

Bank Holiday in December 2023: There are going to be a lot of bank holidays in the last month of the year 2023. Banks are going to be closed for more than 15 days in the month of December.

The month of November is ending in a few days and the last month of the year 2023 is about to begin. If you have any bank related work then you should get it done now. Also, you should check the list of Bank Holidays for December, because banks are going to remain closed for 18 days in the next month. There are going to be bank holidays till Christmas holidays. RBI has released the calendar for December, according to which there will be 11 days of holidays on festivals. Work will be halted for seven days on Sunday and Saturday.

Bank strike for so many days

Along with these holidays, there is also going to be a bank strike. All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) has called for a strike for 6 days across the country. This strike of different banks will be held on different dates. Punjab National Bank (PNB), Punjab and Sindh Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) will go on strike on December 4.

There is going to be a strike of Bank of Baroda and Bank of India on 5th December and Canara Bank and Central Bank of India on 6th December. Indian Bank, UCO Bank will stop operations on 7th and Union Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra on 8th December. There will be a strike of all private banks on 11th December.

Apart from the six-day strike, RBI has also announced bank holidays. These holidays are going to fall in different states.

December 1: Bank holiday in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland on State Foundation Day.

December 3: All banks of the country will remain closed due to Sunday.

December 4: Banks to remain closed in Goa due to St. Francis Xavier Festival

December 9: Bank holiday due to second Saturday of the month.

December 10: Holiday due to Sunday

December 12: Bank holiday in Meghalaya due to Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma.

December 13 and 14 : Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Losung/Namsung.

December 17: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.

December 18 : Bank holiday in Meghalaya due to death anniversary of U Soso Tham.

December 19: There will be a bank holiday in Goa due to Liberation Day.

December 23 : Banks will remain closed across the country on the fourth Saturday.

December 24: Bank holiday due to Sunday

December 25: Holiday due to Christmas

December 26: Banks will not open in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya due to Christmas celebrations.

December 27: Holiday due to Christmas in Nagaland

December 30: Banks will not open in Meghalaya

December 31: Banks will remain closed across the country due to Sunday.
