Bank Holidays: Bank employees will get 16 days leave in January, check the complete list

The new year is going to start with a holiday. The first date will be celebrated as New Year Holiday in many cities, due to which banks will remain closed. Apart from this, there will be many festivals like Lohri, Makar Sankranti (January Festival List), for which there will be bank holidays. Let’s see the complete list.

Let us tell you that RBI gives holidays in three categories for banks – Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts. But these holidays apply according to different states. For example, some festivals are regional, so there is no holiday for them in the entire country, only the banks of that concerned area remain closed.

For your information, let us tell you that during these holidays, you cannot get that work done for which you have to go to the bank. But you can do online/mobile banking even when banks are closed (Banks are closed in January). Facilities like digital banking and payment etc. will continue to be available.
