RBI Holiday List
According to the RBI Bank Holiday List 2024, between August 15 and August 19, banks are going to remain closed for three days – 15 August (Independence Day), 18 August (Sunday) and 19 August (Raksha Bandhan). Apart from this, banks are also going to remain closed in Manipur today on Tuesday 13 August.
Banks will remain closed here on Rakshabandhan
Let us tell you that on the day of Rakshabandhan, banks will remain closed only in some states. Banks will remain open everywhere else. On August 19, banks will remain closed only in Tripura, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. Banks will remain open across the country on Friday (August 16) and Saturday (August 17).

August 13: Banks will remain closed in Manipur on the occasion of ‘Patriot Day’.
August 15: All banks will remain closed in all the states of India on the occasion of Independence Day.
August 19: Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh on account of Raksha Bandhan.
August 20: Banks will remain closed in Kerala on the occasion of ‘Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti’.
August 26: Banks are closed in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar on account of Janmashtami.

However, you can do transactions and manage other bank related work through online banking and ATM despite bank holidays. These facilities will not be affected due to bank closure. During this period, you can do many mobile or net banking works, as all online services will remain fully operational.
