Bank Holidays: Banks will remain closed for 4 days next week, complete all work immediately

Bank Holidays in May 2024: Under the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, banks will remain closed in different cities on May 20 (Monday). On 20th, voting will be held in 49 constituencies of six states and two union territories. About 695 candidates are trying their luck in the May 20 elections.

Under the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, banks will remain closed in different cities on May 20 (Monday). Buddha Purnima holiday will be on 23rd May

Voting is to be held on May 20 in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Ladakh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir. Banks will remain open in the rest of the country on this day. According to RBI, banks will remain closed in the financial centers of Belapur and Mumbai on May 20. Among the remaining holidays of May 2024, there will be Buddha Purnima (May 23) holiday. Voting for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections is on 25 May. This day is the fourth Saturday and 26th May is Sunday. In this way, this week there will be bank holiday on 20th May, 23rd May, 25th May and 26th May and banks will be open only for four days.

Bank holidays also vary in different states and cities across the country. If you are going to go to the bank branch for any work this week, it would be better that you first check the dates on which the banks will remain closed. However, during this time you can do your bank related work through digital banking, mobile, ATM and internet.
