Bank Holidays: Banks will remain closed for so many days between 19 September and 2 October

Due to continuous holidays, bank related work of customers may be affected, although online services will continue, but check book-pass book work may be affected.

September Bank Holidays 2023: Important news for all bank users. If there is any bank related work then complete it as soon as possible, because banks are going to be closed for many days between 19th September to 2nd October. This includes Saturday and Sunday holidays along with festivals. Due to continuous holidays, bank related work of customers may be affected, although online services will continue, but check book-pass book work may be affected.

According to the RBI list, banks will remain closed for 3 consecutive days in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram from 22 to 24 September. Banks will remain closed on 22nd September on Shri Narayana Guru Samadhi Day. Whereas 23rd September is the fourth Saturday and 24th September is Sunday. October 1 is Sunday and October 2 is Gandhi Jayanti, hence banks being closed may cause problems, although you can complete some of your work digitally.

  2. 20 September, Wednesday – Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day)/Nuakhai
  3. 22 September, Friday- Shri Narayana Guru Samadhi Day
  4. 23 September, Saturday- Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji
  5. September 24, 2023- Bank closed due to Sunday
  6. 25 September, Monday – Birth anniversary of Srimanta Shankardev
  7. 27 September, Wednesday – Milad-e-Sherif (Birthday of Prophet Muhammad)
  8. 28 September, Thursday – Eid-e-Milad/Eid-e-Miladunnabi – (Birthday of Prophet Mohammad) (Bara Wafaat)
  9. 29 September, Friday – Indrajatra after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi
  10. 1 October 2023, Sunday, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti
  11. 2 October 2023, Monday, Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti

You can use these online services

  • Bank holidays have no effect on digital services like UPI, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking.
  • Money can also be transferred through UPI, while you can use ATM for cash withdrawal.
  • You can also do your work through Net Banking, ATM, digital payment.
  • You can also use credit and debit cards easily.
  • You can transfer money from one account to another through net banking or mobile banking.
