Bank holidays List 2024: If you also have to go to the bank branch this month i.e. September, 2024 to get some work done, then before leaving home, definitely check the list of bank holidays. This is because there is a lot of bank holidays in the current month (Bank Holidays In Sept 2024) and banks will not work for 15 days. There are bumper holidays due to weekly holidays and festivals. On holiday, customers can do their transactions and other banking work through online banking. The Reserve Bank of India releases a list of bank holidays every year. This list includes both national and regional holidays.
National holidays are those holidays on which all banks are closed across the country. Regional holidays are related to a particular state or region. On these days only the banks of the concerned state or region are closed. Bank holiday on a day in one state does not mean that there will be a holiday in another state as well.
