Bank holidays: If you have any bank related work then this is important news for you. According to the RBI calendar, this week is a long holiday including regional holidays, festivals and weekends. Some banks in different states may remain closed for six consecutive days between 13-18 September. Please note that the list of holidays for banks is different in all states.
RBI issues the list
Every month, a complete list of bank holidays is given on RBI’s official website. It contains complete details of different festivals and holidays according to the states. Apart from this, banks remain closed across the country on the second and fourth Saturdays and every Sunday. In such a situation, if you have any bank related work in the coming days, then check the list of holidays, so that you do not have to face any kind of problem.

September 13 – Ramdev Jayanti / Teja Dashami – (Banks will remain closed in Rajasthan)
September 14: Second Saturday and Onam (Kochi, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram)
September 15: Sunday (all over India)
September 16: Monday – Eid-e-Milad (all over India)
17 September: Tuesday – Indra Yatra (Sikkim)
18 September: Wednesday – Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti (Gangtok)
Apart from these, some states are also getting a long weekend next week with holidays on 21 September (Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi – Kerala), 22 September (Sunday – All India), and 23 September (Heroes Martyrdom Day – Haryana). At the end of the month, holidays have also been listed for the fourth Saturday and last Sunday of the month – 28 and 29 September.
