Goa, Daman and Diu Liberation Day is celebrated every year on 19 December in Goa. According to Wikipedia, Goa Liberation Day is celebrated in memory of the capture of Portuguese-ruled Goa by the Indian Armed Forces in 1961, after which India was freed from any European rule.
