Bank Holidays in April Banking holiday list is released every month by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The fourth month of the year 2024, April (April 2024), is going to start from next Monday. RBI has released the bank holiday list for April. Before going to the bank, you should check once whether banks are open in your city or not.
New Delhi. The month of March is just about to end and the month of April (April 2024) will start from next week. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the Bank Holiday List in April.
According to RBI’s bank holiday list, banks will remain closed for 14 days in April. In such a situation, if you are also thinking of going to the bank for some work, then you should check the bank holiday list once.
When will banks remain closed?
1 April 2024: Whenever the financial year ends, the bank has to close the account for the entire financial year. Due to account closing on 1st April in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Kohima, Lucknow, Mumbai. Banks will remain closed on , Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram.
5 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Telangana, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birthday and Jummat-ul-Vida.
9 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar on the occasion of Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year and first Navratri.
10 April 2024: Will remain closed in Kochi and Kerala due to Eid.
11 April 2024: Many banks will remain closed across the country due to Eid, but banks of Chandigarh, Gangtok, Imphal, Kochi, Shimla, Thiruvananthapuram will remain open.
15 April 2024: Banks of Guwahati and Shimla will remain closed due to Himachal Day.
17 April 2024: Ram Navami is on 17 April. On the occasion of Ram Navami, banks will not open in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai and Nagpur.
20 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Agartala on the occasion of Garia Puja.

Let us tell you that banks remain closed on Sunday, second Saturday and fourth Saturday of every month. In April, all banks in the country will remain closed on 7th April (Sunday), 13th April (second Saturday), 14th April (Sunday), 21st April (Sunday), 27th April (4th Saturday) and 28th April (Sunday).
