Banks have holidays on the second Saturday and fourth Saturday of the month. This month has five Sundays. August 1 has passed.
Now August 8, 15, 22 and 29 will be holidays. Similarly, Muharram on 19th August and Janmashtami on 30th will be a holiday. A good news for the account holders is that this time the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to keep the National Automated Clearing House (NACH) operational 24 hours a day. Due to this, salary, pension and EMI will be deposited during the holiday.
