This year the 552nd birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru is falling on 19 November.

Bank closed on Guru Nanak Jayanti The complete list of bank holidays is already issued by the RBI. The list of holidays for every month has been released on the website of RBI. However, this holiday does not apply to banks across the country. Holidays are based on cities and states. November 19 is also a bank holiday. Banks will remain closed in many cities on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

Where will the banks be closed today?

Banks will remain closed today due to Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima 2021. On this occasion all banks in Aizawl, Belapur, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi besides Shimla and Srinagar will remain closed. That is, due to Guru Nanak Jayanti in these cities, there will be a bank holiday on Friday.




Banks will remain closed even further

Apart from today, banks across the country will remain closed due to the weekly holiday on November 21. After this, banks will remain closed in Bengaluru on November 22 on account of Kanakadas Jayanti. At the same time, on November 23, there will be a holiday in the banks of Shillong due to Seng Kutsname. Banks will remain closed on 27th November due to fourth Saturday of the month. Whereas on November 28, banks will remain closed due to Sunday. During bank holidays, people may face problems in work like check clearance, KYC update.
