There are going to be huge holidays especially in banks on the occasion of Dussehra.

Situation arising due to Dussehra

Due to the festival of Dussehra, such a situation is being created in many places, which is being called the long weekend of October. The reason for this is that banks in the affected places are going to remain closed for 4 consecutive days. Generally banks have a weekly holiday of one or two days. Apart from all Sundays of the month, there are bank holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays also. For this reason, there is a two-day weekend in banks every second week.

Long weekend next week

However, this time the situation is going to be a little different. In many states, there will be a bank holiday for four consecutive days from October 21 to October 24. 21st October is the third Saturday of the month, but on that day there will be a bank holiday in many states due to Maha Saptami. Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal on October 21. After that, if October 22 is a Sunday, banks will remain closed in the entire country.

Banks will remain closed in these 3 states

On Monday, October 23, banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal on the occasion of Dussehra or Vijayadashami. After that, on Tuesday, October 24, banks will remain closed in Tripura, Assam and West Bengal on the occasion of Dussehra or Durga Puja. In this way, the functioning of banks will be affected for four consecutive days in the three states Tripura, Assam and West Bengal.
