Bank Locker Rules: Big News! Bank Locker customers should complete this work before 30th September, otherwise there will be trouble.

SBI Bank Locker Rules: The bank has asked customers to update their bank locker agreement. For the new agreement, locker holders will have to show eligibility for the new locker agreement by September 30 and enter the agreement for renewal.

SBI Bank Locker Rules: Important news for State Bank of India customers. If you also have a locker in the bank, then you have to complete the important work before 30th September. The banks have to implement the amendments made in the rules regarding bank lockers by 30th September. The bank has asked customers to update their bank locker agreement. For the new agreement, locker holders will have to show eligibility for the new locker agreement by September 30 and enter the agreement for renewal.

What are customers to do?

The bank has revised the bank locker contract, which includes the rights of the locker holder, on which they require the signature of the customer. For this the bank customer will have to go to the bank and sign an agreement. SBI says that “The Bank has issued a Revised/Supplementary Locker Agreement incorporating the rights of the customers. Customers availing locker facility with SBI are requested to contact their locker branch and get the revised/supplementary agreement. Make changes accordingly.”

SBI Bank Locker Charges

SBI customers have to pay some charges for the bank locker facility.

  • Rs 2,000 plus GST for small lockers and Rs 4,000 plus GST for medium size lockers in metro cities and other urban areas.
  • 8,000 plus GST for large lockers in metro cities and other urban areas. Rs 12,000 plus GST for the largest size locker.
  • Rs 1,500 plus GST for small locker and Rs 3,000 plus GST for medium size in small towns and rural areas
  • Rs 6,000 plus GST for larger lockers in smaller towns and rural areas. Rs 9,000 GST charge for the largest size locker.
