If someone in your house has an account with Syndicate bank, Vijaya Bank or Dena Bank, Corporation Bank or Andhra Bank then banking has changed from 1/7/2021. Now you have to do two important things. New check book and new bank passbook are being issued to the customers of these banks. Because their IFSC (Indian Financial System Code changed) has changed. Therefore, if there is no problem in the banking transaction, then you should also issue it as soon as possible.

Explain that the government had merged 10 banks, after which MICR and IFSC changed. Banks say that customers who have not issued check book and new passbook, then they should get it done from the branch as soon as possible. With this, they will not face any problem in banking transactions.

Syndicate bank has merged with Canara Bank. With this the IFSC of Syndicate Bank has changed. Canara Bank has said that the IFSC of the erstwhile Syndicate Bank branches has changed with effect from July 1, 2021. Customers will have to use the new Canara IFSC to receive funds through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS.

The new IFSC can be accessed by visiting Canarabank.com/IFSC.Html or Canara Bank website or visiting any Canara Bank branch. The customers of the erstwhile Syndicate Bank will have to get a new check book with changed IFSC and MICR.

Check new branch code like this

Visit canarabank.com/IFSC.html.

Here fill in the details of your area, such as where you live, the PIN code, the name of the colony and other requested details.

You will get the IFSC of the nearest branch.

You can also take IFSC by visiting a bank branch.

Attention Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank customers

Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank have merged with Union Bank. The customers of both these banks have been asked to get a new check book. This merger took place on 1 April.

Attention Dena Bank,Vijaya Bank Customers

Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank have been merged into Bank of Baroda. For this reason, Bank of Baroda has asked the old customers of these banks that new IFSC has been issued, which are effective from July 1, 2021. The old IFSC will no longer work. The customers of these banks can go to the branch and get a new check book. Also issue a new passbook, in which the updated IFSC will be recorded. Also the address of the branch will be there.

Why IFSC Changed

In August 2019, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had decided to merge 10 public banks. Now the IFSC and MICR of these banks is going to change.
