Bank New Rules: Rules changed for employees working in private banks, check the details immediately

New Rules: A big rule has changed for those working in this private bank. Know which bank this is and the new rule.

India’s largest private sector bank, HDFC Bank, has changed a major rule for its employees. The bank has changed the notice period for its employees. According to a report in FE, where earlier the employees had to serve a notice period of 90 days after resigning, now they will have to work only for 30 days. The bank hopes that this change will improve flexibility. This is the second private sector bank to make this change after ICICI Bank reduced the notice period from 90 days to 30 days in 2020.

Relief may be available in less than 30 days

The FE report quoted a senior HDFC Bank official as saying that the purpose of this change in policy is to provide more flexibility to the employees. Quoting sources, the report said that HDFC Bank employees were informed about the change in HR policy through email on May 6. According to the latest changes, there is a rule of 30 days notice period for employees under probation. However, according to reports, employees may get relief in less than 30 days if their request is approved by their reporting manager.

Notice period of these banks is 90 days

It is known that at present the notice period of Kotak Mahindra Bank is 90 days. The notice period of public sector banks like State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Bank of Baroda is also only 90 days.

It is noteworthy that in the third quarter of the financial year 2024, the total number of employees in HDFC Bank has crossed the figure of 2 lakh and reached 2.08,066. HDFC Bank reported a 37.05 per cent increase in its standalone net profit to Rs 16,511.85 crore in Q4FY24. According to BSE filings, its net interest income rose 24.51 per cent to Rs 29,076.82 crore during the quarter ended March 31, 2024, from Rs 23,351.83 crore a year ago.
