Bank officer or employee has misbehaved, complain here and action will be taken immediately

Bank customers are given the right to complain under the RBI Banking Ombudsman Scheme. Know here which cases can be complained about and what is the procedure for it.

If any of your cases is stuck in the bank, you are repeatedly visiting the bank but no one is listening to you, or the bank officials have misbehaved with you in any way, then you can complain about this matter under the RBI Banking Ombudsman Scheme. Under this scheme, prompt action is taken on the complaint of the complainant by the Reserve Bank of India.

This scheme is being run to bring convenience to the customers and transparency in banks. Under this, customers can complain to the banking ombudsman about any bank official, employee or for not getting the services on time. This complaint, which is done free of cost, is resolved within 30 days.

When can you complain

Under the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme, you can complain about any problem related to the bank only if you have previously complained in writing to the bank, NBFC etc. and that complaint has been rejected, no reply has been received within 30 days or a satisfactory reply has not been given. In case of not receiving a reply from the regulated entity, the customer can complain to the Ombudsman within 1 year and 30 days.

You can complain in three ways

To register an online complaint for any matter related to banks, you have to visit the website https://cms.rbi.org.in. On the website, you will get the option of File a Complaint, where you can complain about the matter.

If you want, you can also complain to the Centralized Receipt and Processing Center notified by RBI through mail. For this, you have to write your complaint and attach all the documents and send it to CRPC@rbi.org.in.

If you want to file a complaint in physical form, then the complainant or its authorized representative will have to sign the complaint, after which you can send the complaint along with all the necessary documents to the address given.
