TDS is deducted above Rs 40 thousand

At the same time, no TDS is deducted from account holders who get less than Rs 40 thousand interest in a year.

What is 15G/H form?

Any account holder who receives interest earned from EPF, RD or FD. To save their TDS, people submit Form 15G/H. In which 15G form can be filled by persons below 60 years of age and Hindu Undivided Families (HUF). Whereas a person of 60 years of age or older has to fill Form 15H.

PAN card required for 15G/H form

If any account holder goes to deposit 15G form in the bank for his account or FD, RD, PF, then it is mandatory to have bank details and PAN card with it. If you have a PAN card and you do not deposit the 15G/H form in the bank, then TDS of 10% is deducted from your interest. Whereas if you do not submit both PAN card and 15G/H form, then 20% TDS is deducted. Whereas if you submit Form 15G/H before June 1, your TDS is not deducted. You can easily get these forms in the bank. Which you can deposit in the bank along with PAN card and bank details.
