HDFC Bank Alert: India’s largest private sector bank HDFC has issued an alert for its customers. In fact, many services of HDFC Bank will not be available to customers for two days. According to the bank, banking services will be temporarily closed on 24 and 25 January due to maintenance. This step will help in giving a better banking experience to the customers. Earlier also HDFC Bank had closed some services on 17 and 18 January due to maintenance.
24-25 January: Chatbanking, SMS Banking and PhoneBanking IVR
HDFC Bank has announced to work on ChatBanking, SMS Banking and PhoneBanking IVR service from 10:00 pm on 24 January to 2:00 pm on 25 January (total 16 hours). During this time, all these services will not be available to the customers.
25 January: UPI service will not be available
Maintenance will be done on UPI service on Friday.
25 January: 12:00 midnight to 3:00 am (3 hours).
During this time, UPI transactions on HDFC Bank current and savings accounts, RuPay credit card, HDFC mobile banking app and TPAPs (third party apps) will remain closed. Merchant UPI transactions will also be affected.
Bank alerted customers
HDFC Bank has sent this update to customers through registered email addresses. The bank has requested its customers to use other options during these dates and times. HDFC Bank says that this necessary maintenance is being done to further improve their service. However, customers have been advised to make their financial planning keeping these dates in mind. Earlier on January 17 also, some services were not available to the customers. Then, customers faced issues in reloading Forex Card through Forex Prepaid Card Service, Prepaid Card Netbanking and Instant Reload Portal.
