He said in a post on X that this strike has been called in protest against the political attack on the trade union. Many banking unions have supported it. Venkatachalam said that out of the employees who have been chargesheeted, four have served in the army. Three people had participated in the Kargil war. However, no information has been received from the government about this strike. Therefore, before going to the bank branch, customers should find out whether the bank is open or not.

Union’s allegation

Bank of India had chargesheeted 13 office bearers of Bank of India Staff Union-Kerala. These people had participated in a conference of Bank of India Staff Union-Kerala.
