BCCI President Sourav Ganguly gets heart attack, admitted in Kolkata hospital

Sourav Ganguly got dizzy while doing gym at home on Saturday i.e. January 2, 2021. After this Ganguly was admitted to a private hospital in Alipur without any delay.




Sourav Ganguly today has been admitted to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata after complaining of chest pain. He has had a heart attack. After which Ganguly underwent angioplasty. He got dizzy while doing gym at home on the morning of 2 January 2021. After this Ganguly was admitted to the hospital without any delay.

It is being told that Sourav Ganguly had trouble breathing. His family and close friends are worried over the sudden illness of the BCCI president. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has wished Ganguly to recover soon. On the other hand, doctors have said that they have had a cardiac arrest, but there is no concern. His condition remains stable.

Eminent sports journalist Boria Majumdar tweeted, “He got dizzy while he was in the gym and went to the woodlands to get the test done.” When it was discovered that there was a cardiac problem. The hospital has constituted a 3-member board headed by Dr. Saroj Mandal to monitor her health.




Sourav Ganguly has played 113 Tests, 311 ODIs for India. He has scored 7212 runs in Test cricket at an average of 42.2. During this, he scored 16 centuries and 35 half-centuries. At the same time, in ODIs, he scored 11363 runs at an average of 41. These include 22 centuries and 72 half-centuries. Ganguly is considered to be India’s all-time great captain. He became the president of the BCCI last year.
