BCCI’s message to those leaving IPL 2021- The game will continue, if anyone wants to leave then there is no harm

IPL 2021: Nearly three lakh cases of Coronavirus are coming to India every day for the last few days. For this reason, many countries including Australia, Britain and New Zealand have banned partial and full ban on travel to India.

New Delhi. Amid the growing Corona crisis in India, it has also worried the players in the safe bio bubble of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). Apart from India’s experienced offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin, some Australian players have left the league in the middle. But the BCCI has made it clear that the game will continue.

Ashwin of Delhi Capitals (R Ashwin) tweeted after winning the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, ‘I am taking a break from this season’s IPL from tomorrow. My family is fighting the Corona (Covid-19) epidemic and it needs my help in this difficult time. ‘ He said, ‘If the circumstances go in the right direction, then I will come back. Thank you Delhi Capitals. It is believed that a member of Ashwin’s family has been found to be Corona positive.

Australia and Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Andrew Tye left the IPL in the midst of fears of entry into his country due to rising Corona cases in India. It is being claimed that many cricketers from Australia can take this decision. At the same time, Ken Richardson and Adam Jampa of Royal Challengers Bangalore also decided to leave the league for personal reasons.

Andrew Tye said that he took this decision due to the increasing cases of isolation of people from India in his hometown of Perth. Ty has not played a single match for the Royals yet and was bought for one crore rupees.

Ty told ‘Radio Radio’ from Doha on Monday, “There are many reasons for this, but the main reason is that there has been an increase in the number of hotels in the hotels of people returning from India in Perth.” The Perth government is trying to cut down on the number of people entering Western Australia.

He said that fatigue of living in bubble is also a reason. He said, ‘I thought that I should not get admission in the country, I should leave before that. Spending long time in the bubble is quite tiring. Since August, I have been out of the bubble for only 11 days and now I want to go home.

The BCCI said that the league will continue. An official said, “The IPL will continue. If someone wants to leave, then there is no harm in it. At the same time, RCB said in a statement, ‘Adam Jampa and Ken Richardson are returning home due to personal reasons and will not play in the remaining matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore is fully with him and helping in every way possible. Bangalore bought leg-spinner Jampa for Rs 1.5 crore and Richardson for Rs four crore.

Many countries including Britain and New Zealand have banned travel from India. Australia has also cut flights by 30 percent and there is a possibility of further ban as three lakh cases are coming daily in India since last few days. India is currently struggling with a shortage of oxygen and some essential medicines. Earlier, Liam Livingstone of the Royals also returned to the UK before the travel ban came into force.

In a joint statement, Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers Association said that they are in touch with their cricketers, coaches and commentators involved in the IPL and are monitoring the situation. A spokesman for the England and Wales Cricket Board said, ‘We are in constant touch with our players. Our condolences are with the people of India in this difficult time.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders mentor David Hussey said that some Australian players in the IPL are ‘nervous’ as to how they will return home due to increased Corona cases in India. Former Australian cricketer Hussey told the Sydney Morning Herald, “Everyone is a little nervous about how Australia will return.” Hussey said that a strong bio bubble has been made for the IPL, but it is natural for players to be worried about the current situation in India.

New Zealand players, including Kane Williamson and Trent Boult, will have to be in the middle for playing the Test series against England from June 2. The IPL final will be held in Ahmedabad on 30 May. Australia can arrange a chartered aircraft for its players on completion of the tournament. 14 of Australia’s players are in the league right now. Apart from them, coaches Ricky Ponting and Simon Katich, commentators Matthew Hayden, Brett Lee, Michael Slater and Lisa Stalker are also here.
