Before the vanity van was built, Dilip Chhabria handed Kapil Sharma a parking bill of 1.20 crore, now arrested

Mumbai: Car designer Dilip Chhabria has been arrested on the complaint of comedian Kapil Sharma. A few days ago, Dilip Chhabria was arrested, after hearing the news of this, Kapil Sharma informed Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambar Singh about the fraud that happened to him. A case was registered at Versova Police Station in Mumbai on Kapil’s complaint. Kapil had complained in September 2020.




According to Mumbai Police Crime Branch officer Sachin Waje, the founder of DC Car Design Company, Dilip Chhabria has been arrested by the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) in connection with the fraud of comedian Kapil Sharma. Earlier Chhabria was arrested for fraud in registering the same vehicle in many states and taking loans.

Let us tell you that comedian Kapil Sharma gave Rs 5 crore 30 lakh to Dilip Chhabria’s company DC Design in March 2017 for designing vanity van, after which the DC design company asked him to pay Rs 50 lakh under VAT. And ask for what they gave. After that DC Design then asked for 60 lakh rupees in cash, which Kapil Sharma refused to give.

According to Mumbai Police Crime Branch officer Sachin Waje, Dilip Chhabria gave the parking bill of the vanity van which was not even built yet to Kapil Sharma. This bill was 1 crore 20 lakh rupees. In this case, Kapil Sharma filed a cheating complaint against Dilip Chhabria in the EOW department of Mumbai Police. The same case was under investigation, in which the CIU had recently filed a new FIR, which was being investigated by the CIU. In this case, CIU has again arrested Dilip Chhabria.

Following the complaint of Kapil Sharma, 6 more victims have come to the police. According to the police, this fraud case can be about 1 thousand crore rupees.
