BH Number Plate Rules: To get BH Number, now one has to pay tax for 14 years in one go. Earlier it was for two years. There was a provision for renewal of the number after the expiry of two years. This has been amended to 14 years. Along with this, such vehicle owners who have taken BH number for two years in the past will also have to pay tax for 12 years.

BH Number Plate Rules: The burden of tax has increased on those who take Bharat (BH) number for BH Number Tax. The Transport Department will now give BH number (BH Number Registration) on depositing tax for 14 years instead of two years.

Vehicles that have already taken BH number have been ordered to deposit tax for 12 years. After the order of the department, the District Transport Office has started the process.

Notice will be sent to vehicle owners

The Transport Office has started preparations to send notices to 731 vehicle owners who have taken BH number to deposit tax. The owners will be given 60 days to deposit the tax.

It should be known that to get BH number for vehicles, now one has to deposit tax for 14 years in lump sum. Earlier it was for two years. There was a provision for renewal of number after the period of two years. It has been amended to 14 years.

60 days time will be given

Along with this, such vehicle owners who have taken BH number for two years in the past will also have to deposit tax for 12 years. For this, they will be given 60 days time.

It was told that most of the people who took BH number for two years in the past did not get it renewed. Due to which the government was losing revenue.

What is BH series number plate?

BH series number plate is for such people who work in government or reputed private companies. Who are transferred to any part of the country.

Central and state government employees, PSU departments, defense department, personnel department and private sector companies whose offices are in at least four states or union territories. On applying this number, the number plate does not have to be changed in any state.

The rules for BH number plate have been changed. Now, for this number, tax for 14 years will have to be paid. Those who have taken BH series for two years in the past will have to pay tax for 12 years within 60 days. Notice will be sent to such vehicle owners. – Kumar Satendra Yadav, DTO
