Gujarat Education Minister Kuber Dindor said that with this, children will read the lesson of Bhagavad Gita from their school life itself and will learn a new way of living life. Bhagavad Gita is not just of one religion but the essence of all religions.

Gujarat government has decided to teach the essence of Bhagavad Gita in government schools. To teach the essence of Bhagavad Gita to school children, Gujarat Education Minister Kuber Dindor has released its syllabus. He claimed that it is being implemented under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Actually, Geeta is celebrated every year on Mokshada Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month. This year Geeta Jayanti is being celebrated on Mokshada Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month on 22 December 2023. This is the only scripture in Sanatan Dharma whose birth anniversary is celebrated. On this occasion, the Gujarat government has decided to teach Bhagavad Gita to school children of class 6th to 8th.

Education Minister Kuber Dindor said that with this, children will read the lesson of Bhagavad Gita from their school life itself and will learn a new way of living life. Bhagavad Gita is not just of one religion but the essence of all religions. This is an art of living and children will read the gist of 700 verses. Thinking that instills hope in despair will benefit children.
