New Delhi: Avantika Dasani, daughter of actress Bhagyashree, who made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan in Maine Pyar Kiya, is now ready for her acting debut. Avantika is making her acting debut with the Zee5 web series Mithya. In this series, Avantika will be seen opposite Huma Qureshi, who is playing the lead role. The first look poster of the series has been released, which shows Huma and Avantika.
The series is produced by Applause Entertainment, while Rohan Sippy is the director. There are 6 episodes in the series. Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajit Kapoor and Sameer Soni will be seen in important roles along with Huma and Avantika. The story of the series is set in Darjeeling. In the series, Huma plays a professor of Hindi literature, while Avantika plays her student. The story is based on the psychological conflict between the characters of these two, which started in the class room and its culmination is quite serious.
Mithya is the official adaptation of the 2019 English web series Cheat, starring Katherine Kelly, Molly Windsor and Tom Goodman-Hill. Director Rohan Sippy informed about the series that Mithya is a pulpy psychological thriller, which gets into the human mind. Hopefully it will leave the audience stunned.
Kaun Banegi is ZEE5’s second project with Mithya Applause Entertainment after Shikharvati.
