New Delhi IIT Bhubaneswar has been awarded the University of the Year Award. The award was given at the Higher Education Award 2021 ceremony organized by FICCI on Thursday. IIT Bhubaneswar has been given this award in the category of university made between 11 and 30 years old.
This award is distributed for the seventh consecutive year at this 16th Higher Education Summit of FICCI. The award is given in 11 categories in total. The jury for the award selection was headed by Prof. RA Mashelkar.
Speaking on the occasion, Director RV Raja Kumar said that IIT Bhubaneswar is trying to give holistic education to its students on the standards of global level institutions. Academic excellence is being brought through many unique academic and operational reforms. But the epidemic suddenly created many challenges. To overcome this, the institute has adopted and implemented many innovative procedures. The students’ online exam was taken through pen and paper. In this, the faculty member also conducted an online inspection.
The institute immediately started online education as soon as the lockdown began.
Many lab experiments were conducted online and in the presence of many students.
During the lockdown, the students, faculty members and staff who remained in the institute were taken care of and every effort was made to save them from Corona.
