How much will be the penalty for filing ITR from August 1?
Yesterday i.e. till 31st July was the last date to file income tax return. If you have missed to file your ITR till tomorrow then you may have to pay penalty for not filing ITR now.
Let us tell you that taxpayers with annual income up to Rs 5 lakh may have to pay a late fine of Rs 1000. On the other hand, if your annual income is more than Rs 5 lakh, then you may have to pay a late fine of Rs 5,000.
On the other hand, if you file ITR after December 31, 2023, then you may have to pay a fine of double i.e. up to Rs 10,000.
Commercial gas cylinder became cheaper
