The government has taken steps to bring transparency in this scheme. Farmers who have registered for new registration under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will now have to mention their plot number in the application form.
To improve the livelihood of small and marginal farmers of the country, the Central Government had launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, the government gives six thousand rupees annually to the farmers. Through three installments of two thousand rupees, the money reaches the account of the farmers. But in the last few times, the mistakes were found in it, which the government has decided to fix. The government is making changes in the old system of this scheme which started in 2019. Under the PM Kisan Samman Scheme, the benefit of 6 thousand rupees per annum will now be given only to those farmers whose names will be fields.

Now, to take advantage of this scheme, farmers will have to do mutation of the field in their own name. The land ownership certificate, which has been taken out of its share in the farm of the ancestor’s name, will no longer be valid in this scheme. However, the new rules will not affect the old beneficiaries associated with the scheme. The government has taken steps to bring transparency in this scheme. Farmers who have registered for new registration under the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana will now have to mention their plot number in the application form.
Khatiyani land will have to be given in its name
There are many farmer families in the country, whose agricultural land is joint and they are taking advantage of this scheme on their own land. Now they have to get their share of land in their name. After this, they will get the benefit of the Kisan Samman Scheme. Only by having Khatiyani land in its name, farmers will be able to take advantage of it.
Suppose a farmer is doing farming, but if the farming land is in the name of his father or grandfather, then he will not get the benefit of six thousand rupees. The land should be in the name of the applying farmer. If a farmer cultivates land on rent from another farmer, then he too will not get the benefit of the scheme. Ownership of land is necessary in PM farmer.
There have been some changes in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme also in the past. Earlier, based on the application of farmers, the amount was sent directly to their account. Later provision was made to link accounts with Aadhaar
11.44 crore beneficiaries of PM farmer
11.44 crore beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme have been made. The government has set a target to connect all 14.5 crore farmers of the country with this scheme. This goal has not been achieved even after the completion of two years of the scheme. The big reason for this is that the process of verification has been made very difficult. The verification of 125 million applicants is still pending. The government has so far sent seven installments of 2000-2000 rupees to the farmers.
