Chandigarh Black Fungus is spreading rapidly in Haryana and people are getting hit by it. People are also dying due to this. Along with this, there has been a big disclosure about this disease. Till now it was said that people suffering from diabetes and diseases and corona infected people have black fungus, but after studying the cases of black fungus in Haryana so far, it has been proved wrong. The study also ruled out that those who are diabetic (sugar patients), black fungus spreads rapidly. There are about 143 Black Fungus patients who did not have diabetes and were not infected with Corona in the state.
Revealing revelations on study of 413 out of 454 cases reported in Haryana so far
People who have been on oxygen or given steroid in the form of medicines during the treatment of corona also have a higher risk of spreading black fungus, but this assumption has also been proved wrong in the cases that have come up in Haryana so far. Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said that 454 cases of black fungus have been reported so far in the state. Of these, 413 case studies were done.
Vij said that these patients are undergoing treatment in different medical colleges of the state. According to the report taken from the treating physicians, quite shocking information has been revealed. 64 patients of black fungus have been found in Haryana, who have never had corona. In medical colleges, 79 patients have come for treatment, who have never had sugar, ie they are not a patient of diabetes. There are 110 cases, which were given high amounts of steroid for the treatment of some disease.
Haryana government is trying to find out the real cause of black fungus
Apart from this, a shocking fact was also revealed that oxygen is not the cause of black fungus applied to the patients during the treatment of corona infection. There are 213 cases in the state, which are suffering from black fungus, but they were never put on oxygen support for the treatment of any disease.
Health Minister Anil Vij not only expressed surprise at this study report of doctors of medical colleges, but also stressed the need to find answers to the misconceptions of the people and the questions that arise in their minds. Till now, black fungus disease is believed to be cured by corona infection or in corona infected patients. In this, the eyes become red, the mouth and jaw are swollen, the fungus reaches the brain and lungs in the event of not performing the operation and there is a risk of damage.
Vij said that more research needs to be done on what could be the actual cause of the outbreak of black fungus. This work should be done at the national level, but the doctors of Haryana will also work in this direction.
Still confused about alternative medicines
There is a state of confusion in the state regarding alternative medicines of Black Fungus. Due to acute shortage of injections used in the treatment of black fungus and black, the minister had asked a team of Rohtak PGI doctors to suggest alternative medicines. This team was formed under the leadership of Dr. Aditya Bhargava, Head of the Department of ENT. The team has not yet reached any concrete result, due to which no report could be sent to the minister so far.
