Big news! A huge benefit from April 1 for those with a monthly salary of up to Rs 21,000

Health services for ESIC’s IPs are partially available in 387 districts and 187 districts. There are 161 districts where these services are not available.

New Delhi: Insured Persons of the State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will have access to health services under the ESI scheme in all 735 districts from April 1 . Health services for ESIC’s IPs are currently available in 387 districts and partially in 187 districts. There are 161 districts where these services are not available. Employees with a monthly income of Rs. 21,000 or less will get the benefit of ESIC. In case of disability, the income limit is Rs. 25,000. (ESIC Beneficiaries To Get Health Services In All Districts From 1 April 2021)




ESIC Employees Insurance Scheme is a health insurance scheme for government and private sector employees

ESIC provides health services through hospitals and health centers under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPMJAY). A similar agreement was reached a few months ago. ESIC Employees Insurance Scheme is a health insurance scheme for government and private sector employees. The scheme is applicable to organizations with 10 to 20 employees or more and is run under the Union Ministry of Labor and Employment.

How to register?

ESIC registration is done by the employer. For this, the employee has to provide information about the family members. The employee also has to make a decision.

Both employees and employers contribute to ESIC. Currently employees are contributing 0.75% of salary through ESIC and 3.25% by employer to ESIC. Employees with an average salary of Rs 137 per day are not required to contribute.

Benefits offered in ESI plan

>> 11 types of benefits are given to the employees coming under this scheme and the beneficiaries who depend on them.

>> Medical facilities are provided to the employee and his family under ESIC scheme.

>> Also free treatment is available in case of ill health.

>> Free treatment is provided to ESIC hospital and hospital staff.

>> In case of serious illness, he is referred to a private hospital. The entire cost of admission to a private hospital is borne by ESIC.

>> If the employee has a serious illness and is unable to work due to illness, ESIC will pay the employee 70% of his / her salary.

>> Women get maternity leave in ESIC. 6 months salary is available including maternity leave. ESIC pays only 6 months salary.

>> ESIC is useful even after the death of the employee. Rs 15,000 for funeral from ESIC

>> Dependent gets pension on death of the insured. Lifetime pension is given to the dependents by ESIC.
